We are not going to suggest you add something to reach the line. It is a threshold, not a lever, and it is better read here than discovered at checkout.

What £25 buys here

One full-size thing, properly made.

The temptation at this price is to make a gift look generous by counting the items in it. We would rather send one 190g bar of soap made in East Sussex than four sachets of something. Nothing on this page is a sample, and nothing is a miniature of a bigger product.

The sections below run across every department, so the same budget can be a trowel, a hoop, a mug or a collar.

Bath and body

Sea salt and pure essential oils by the bagful, a paper-wrapped bar that lasts weeks, a cotton pillow of wheat and lavender for the eyes, and hand-poured soy wax in a 170ml glass worth keeping afterwards.

Made by hand

A small hoop that finishes in an evening, a felting kit that becomes a fox about 15cm tall, and a full-size hare in a 7in hoop that doubles as its frame. Each arrives with the threads counted and the design already printed on the cloth.
