What is inside a Bouquet
Everything the smaller sizes draw from, and one thing they never do.
Where The Bud takes one piece from one category and The Bloom takes three across the edit, The Bouquet takes from all of it: naturally derived skincare and cosmetics, restorative bath and body pieces, and considered objects. It is the only size where nothing is left out.
It also carries one addition reserved for this scale alone — the piece that would unbalance a smaller box, or that we hold back precisely because it should arrive in the fullest one. We do not say what it is. That is the point of it.
The vessel is larger to match, which changes how the box opens: pieces sit in layers rather than side by side, and unwrapping takes a few minutes rather than a moment. At this size the unwrapping is part of what is being bought.
The arithmetic on a £74 box
The rule does not soften as the price rises. Contents must be worth at least 1.4 times the price, which on a Bouquet means £103.60, typically nearer £105. Checked per composition, against real retail values, before it is packed.
This is where the honesty matters most. Spending £74 on something you cannot see is an act of trust, and the usual way this category repays that trust is with an unverifiable number — “worth £380” on a box costing £50. Ours is a smaller multiple that we apply to every single order and would be embarrassed to break. How the rule works, and why surplus sourcing makes it possible.
Free UK delivery applies here as it does on a £22 box. Most of the category would charge, or would have made you clear a threshold three sizes ago.
Limited numbers, said plainly
Bouquets are composed in limited runs, and that is a consequence of the sourcing rather than a sales technique. The pieces good enough for this size come from surplus — a small British maker's over-run, a line an established supplier has discontinued — and there is only ever as much of that as there is. When a particular composition runs out, it is not repeated.
So there is no countdown on this page and there will not be one. If The Bouquet is available, it is available; when it is not, it will say so.
Who The Bouquet suits
- A milestone. A fortieth, a retirement, a wedding gift for people who have asked for nothing.
- A joint gift. Four people at £18.50 each is an easier conversation than four people trying to agree on what to buy.
- A thank-you that has to be a real thank-you — the friend who took the dog for a fortnight, the colleague who covered for you properly.
- Someone who has everything. The larger the box, the more this holds: you are not competing with what they already own, because they have not been asked to expect anything.
Where it is the wrong choice
At £74 the mystery format asks the most of you, so it is worth being blunt about when not to buy it. If the recipient is particular — a settled routine, a scent they will not move from, strong views about what they keep in the house — a large mystery box is a large risk, and one they may feel obliged to be gracious about.
For those people, the Spa Edit runs to the same prices and states exactly what is in every set. It is the less romantic answer and often the better gift.
